1- Scope
JMCC follows international ethics. Misconduct includes plagiarism, data fabrication or falsification, duplicate submission/publication, unethical authorship practices, and failure to disclose conflicts of interest.
2- Reporting Misconduct
Any reader, author, reviewer, or institution may report suspected misconduct by contacting the Editorial Office. Reports must include the article details and any supporting evidence. All reports are handled confidentially.
3- Initial Screening
The Editor-in-Chief reviews the allegation to determine if it has sufficient basis. Authors may be asked to provide clarification or raw data.
4- Investigation
If necessary, JMCC may:
- Conduct an internal review with editors or experts, or
- Refer the case to the authors’ institution for formal investigation.
- JMCC cooperates fully with institutional inquiries.
5- Outcomes
Depending on the findings, actions may include:
- Corrections
- Manuscript rejection
- Withdrawal of accepted papers
- Retraction of published articles
- Author submission bans (in severe cases)
6- Retractions & Notices
Retractions or expressions of concern are published openly and linked to the original article, following COPE guidelines.
7- Fairness & Confidentiality
All parties are treated fairly, given the chance to respond, and investigations are confidential.
