Authorship

JMCC applies strict guidelines to ensure fair and transparent attribution of authorship.

1- Criteria for Authorship
An author must have all of the following:
- Made novel or substantial contributions to concept, design, data collection, or analysis.
- Participated in drafting or critically revising the manuscript.
- Approved the final version for publication.
- Agreed to be accountable for the work, including integrity and accuracy.

2- Responsibilities of Authors
- Ensure the accuracy and originality of the work.
- Properly cite all sources and data.
- Disclose conflicts of interest.
- Clearly describe each author’s contributions if required by the journal.

3- Order of Authors
- Determined by mutual agreement among contributors.
- Should reflect relative contributions.
- All authors must approve the order before submission.

4- Changes in Authorship
- The addition, removal, or reordering of authors after submission requires written approval from all authors and the approval of the Editor-in-Chief.

5- Corresponding Author
- Acts as the primary contact with the journal.
- Responsible for managing communications during submission, peer review, and post-publication.

6- Disputes
- Authorship disputes should be resolved internally among authors.
- JMCC may consult institutions, but does not make unilateral decisions regarding authorship.
