JMCC is committed to maintaining transparency, objectivity, and integrity in the publication process. Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the evaluation, interpretation, or presentation of research.
1- Authors
Authors must disclose:
- Financial interests (grants, funding, consulting fees, ordinary ownership)
- Personal or professional relationships that could bias the work
- Affiliations or involvement that may influence interpretation or presentation
- Disclosures should appear in the manuscript’s “Conflict of Interest” section
2- Reviewers
Reviewers must:
- Decline invitations if a real or perceived conflict exists (e.g., same institution, direct collaboration, competition)
- Disclose any relevant relationships to the Editor
- Maintain confidentiality and impartiality during review
3- Editors
Editors must:
- Do not handle manuscripts where a conflict exists
- Ensure fair and unbiased peer review
- Maintain transparency in decision-making
4- Management
JMCC evaluates all disclosed conflicts and determines appropriate actions, which may include:
- Assigning the manuscript to an independent editor without conflicts
- Selecting unbiased reviewers
- Publishing a conflict-of-interest statement alongside the article
5- Transparency
- JMCC encourages full disclosure to maintain trust in the research process. Failure to disclose relevant conflicts may result in corrections, retractions, or other actions according to the journal’s publication ethics.
